Sierra Matchking In A 6.5 Creedmoor – Too Good To Be True? Nope, We Did It!
Originally designed for target shooting because of it’s astonishing accuracy, especially over longer ranges, the 6.5 Creedmoor is also becoming increasingly popular with hunters. The 6.5 Creedmoor is essentially a trimmed down version of a regular .308 round.
The shorter body makes it more aerodynamic which gives it better flight time, and that makes it way more accurate than a regular .308.
Even though it’s a smaller bullet, it has the same powder charge as that regular .308, which means that it’s less affected by windspeed, and over greater distances also less affected by the Coriolis effect. As you may imagine, our 6.5 Creedmoor round is probably the best available.
We’re using the astonishingly good Sierra MatchKing Projectile, so you know you’re getting the best possible bullet.
We’ve coupled that amazing projectile with amazing powder – we’re using IMR, to give you the power and velocity you need to drive the bullet accurately for many hundreds of yards.
And we’re again using our industry leading custom Match Grade brass casing.
Our cases must make it through our meticulous and rigorous testing process several times before it’s deemed fit for use. We use laser testing tools to ensure accuracy and reliability with every shot. If a single round fails even one of those tests, the entire batch is rejected and we start over.
Our rule is that we don’t approve anything that has even a tiny chance of failing or not performing when you pull the trigger.
